Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Assist with food prep and ingredient handling to support our chefs and line cooks.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred. Applicants have the opportunity to learn additional positions as they grow with us.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear
  • Must be able to constantly stand and walk for extended periods of time, at least 8 hours, and traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly
  • Must be able to lift, handle, and carry (e.g. food, small wares, equipment, supplies and paper goods) at a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to taste, be able to distinguish between and among flavors, spices, and scents as to their appeal and level of intensity for all food and beverage products
  • Must be able to read recipe books, guides, measuring equipment, scales, kitchen monitors, and receipt printers
  • Must be able to understand basic kitchen commands and training
  
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work around changing of schedules, which includes being available to work throughout the day, weekends, and holidays, as required
  • Must be able to work in an environment subject to loud noises from restaurant equipment and machinery, fumes, odors, dust and smoke
  • Temperature extremes range from working in hot kitchen over 90 degrees Fahrenheit to working in a walk-in fridge of 40 degree Fahrenheit

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
