The Whistling Kettle, the Captial Regions #1 tea themed restaurant is seeking qualified applicants to join our kitchen management team. Your goal is to execute our award winning menu, maintain an organized and clean kitchen, train and develop staff, and be present on the line during our peak periods. We have an easy to execute menu, modern equipment and owners that help with whatever challenges or needs come your way. Our last seating is 6pm, so no late nights!

Responsibilities 

  • Follow recipes, methods and systems provided to you for running the kitchen
  • Hands on during peak service periods
  • Communicate and collaborate with your team
  • Following health department cleanliness and sanitary guidelines
  • Ordering and inventory of products
  • Recruiting, training & developing employees

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience with some level of team management experience
  • Able and willing to travel to all 3 of our locations (Ballston Spa, Troy, & Schenectady)
  • Weekend availability is a must
  • Must be able to handle high volume levels of business
  • Positive, upbeat attitude - able to work under pressure

Compensation: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
